I’ve been meaning to make granola for months. I eat it for breakfast almost every morning with yogurt and honey, so why not make my own? I knew it was easy, I just somehow never got around to it. Luckily, the Secret Recipe Club gave me just the kick in the butt I needed. Each month members are assigned another blog and must make one recipe. It’s been a fun opportunity to discover new blogs and dishes. Continue reading “Secret Recipe Club: Pumpkin Granola”

Secret Recipe Club: Rava Uttapam
Yes, another month has flown by and it’s time for the Secret Recipe Club once again! Those of you who follow this blog already know the deal (and many of you also participate in SRC!) but for those who don’t know, it’s a simple, fun concept: All participating blogs are assigned another blog. We get to choose any recipe we like from that blog and make any changes we want. Then we all post our recipes on the same day and time! It’s a wonderful way to meet other bloggers and try recipes you might not otherwise. Continue reading “Secret Recipe Club: Rava Uttapam”
Secret Recipe Club Cilantro-Lime Chicken
It’s that time of the month again! No, not that time. Secret Recipe Club time! Hosted by Amanda over at Amanda’s Cookin’ it’s a great way for bloggers to meet, share, and make each others’ recipes. Every month each participant is assigned another blog and we can make any recipe from that blog. Then, all at once, we reveal our posts! Yup, it’s as fun as it sounds. Who doesn’t like being in a secret club? In June I made some excellent Lemon Poppy Seed Muffins from Connor’s Cooking and in July I made Darn Near Domestic‘s awesome Smoky Salsa. I took a hiatus in August and am excited to be back because this month I was introduced to another fabulous blog – Once a Month Mom. Continue reading “Secret Recipe Club Cilantro-Lime Chicken”

Lemon Poppy Seed Muffins
Who doesn’t love lemon poppy seed muffins? I do, but I’ve never thought to make them. The inspiration for these came from a new place. This is my first month participating in something called the Secret Recipe Club. It’s organized by Amanda over at Amanda’s Cookin’, and each month participants are assigned another member’s blog to make a recipe from. It’s a fun chance to check out new blogs and make new recipes. I was assigned to Connor’s Cooking (be sure to visit her great site!) and allowed to pick any recipe I wanted to make. Although there are lots of great recipes, this one called out to me.
