Can you believe it’s been two years? I started this blog on September 30, 2010 soon after moving to Israel. I wanted a fun and creative outlet to complement my professional writer website, and that’s exactly what I’ve gotten. 318 posts later I’ve grown as a writer, photographer, and recipe developer, and been introduced to an incredible community of passionate and talented bloggers. If you follow me you know that I rarely host giveaways (in fact, there’s only been one, this time last year), but I wanted to do something to thank you for reading my blog, sharing your tips, and bringing me joy. So I’ve got something exciting for you.
A few months ago I was excited to win this gorgeous Magimix by Robot-Coupe 12-cup food processor from one of my favorite blogs, Baker Street. And now I’m excited to pay it forward by giving one away – plus an amazing juicer attachment! You know I wouldn’t talk about something like this unless I really loved it, and with this food processor it was love at first use. It’s the real, professional deal. Handcrafted in Burgundy, France, just as it always has been, the Magimix by Robot-Coupe food processor features a commercial-grade motor that is both incredibly powerful and unbelievably quiet. The razor sharp blades make any work of even the most tedious kitchen tasks, and the three nesting bowls make it like a three-in-one machine. Plus it looks great.

Besides all the impressive food processor features, it was the attachments that I really fell in love with. A food processor with attachments? In particular, it was the Juice Extractor & Smoothie Attachment that really got my attention. I love that you can have all the power of a major juicer without a whole extra machine – it’s a huge space and money saver! I’m obsessed with fresh juices, and the juice attachment allowed me to make my own at home – much cheaper and more convenient than going to the local juice bar!
I made fresh apple juice, peach-banana smoothies, and lots and lots of carrot juice. It made for an easy and nutritious breakfast or pick-me-up throughout the day. My favorite combo? Carrot, apple, ginger and spinach – talk about a vitamin powerhouse! The attachment is easy to use and dishwasher safe (I admit that without a dishwasher it can be a pain to clean, but nothing too terrible). I’m obsessed. I know you will be too!
- 4 carrots, trimmed
- 1 green apple, sliced
- ½ knob ginger
- 2 cups packed spinach (leaves and stems)
- Put all ingredients through a juicer (or the juicer attachment of your Magimix).
- Pour into a glass with ice and enjoy!
Enter the giveaway below! There are lots of chances to win (US residents only, sorry). Good luck!
Happy Blog Anniversary, Katherine! I absolutely love your blog and recipes. Here’s to many more delicious years to come along with the promise of many more cookbooks. 🙂
I’m so glad you’re using the food processor you won. 🙂
Congratulations on your blogiversary! Great giveaway. Thanks!
(Oops — I love to use my food processor for shredding things like carrots. And making pesto.)
Happy happy blog anniversary! =D
Love your CAGS juice recipe, I ll be happily trying it out one of these days. I am used to ABC juice so that’s going to be a nice change. I don’t like spinach so much but I ll trust your judgment in that. 😉
I love to shred veggies for salad and even mix cakes
Happy Ann’y!!! Thanks for a great blog, great ideas and your passion for the culinary arts! Here’s to many more years of creating!!!
definitively the juicer/extractor!
Happy Anniversary & many more amazing years! You are truly an inspiration!
Happy Blog Anniversary! You’ve done an incredible job with it – truly an excellent blog. And nice recipe, too. I do very little juicing – it’s something I’ve thought about doing, but just haven’t. I have to juice everything by hand, so obviously that makes a huge difference!
This is great, Katherine! I would love to make fresh juice in this.
Very generous of you to give away such a great item. Happy anniversary!
Shalom, Katherine!
Congratulations on your anniversary! The juicer give-away is a great idea! One of my favorite aspects of this juicer is that quiet motor and razor sharp blades. The juice extractor and smoothie attachment are appealing! I like to use the carrot pulp in making delicious carrot cake. We juice in our home and having a new juicer with these wonderful attachment is an exciting proposition.
Praying for the peace of Jerusalem in this season of Yom Kippur (Psalm 122:6) as we prepare for Sukkot.

Shanah Tovah, Katherine…
Great blog–& this is AwEsOmE! I have an ancient Juiceman Jr. w/ limited capabilities, & the Magimix would open up whole new vistas. Carrot/apple/ginger is my fave combo, & I’d love to add spinach…or maybe even kale. (BTW, how large is a “knob” of ginger? I seriously over-gingered my juice the other day–>gasp<.)
~Thanks for the "Pay Forward"~
Congratulations! Looking forward to trying this recipe.
Mazel Tov on your anniversary.
Happy Anniversary!

The juice extractor would be awesome but I would love it to crush up Oreos and graham cracker crumbs too for when I bake.

Happy blogiversary!! I’m most excited to make fresh pesto.
I used to knead bread in my old food processor before it died so I would probably start going back to that. Then I will be looking forward to trying out juice!
I’ve been wanting to buy a juice fountain for a while now! I think it would be a great way to get my eldest daughter to eat/drink some vitamins! 🙂 Love the ginger in that juice!

Katherine,
I am leaving for Italy on Saturday. I don’t know whether or not if you follow my blog, but I’m just letting you know while I’m here on your blog about my 4th anniversary giveaway this Friday (as I am flying off across the ocean!). Again, I’m only letting you know in reciprocation for your giveaway offer and wanted to give you a like-wise opportunity in return.
Ciao,
Roz
Congrats on 2 years! Wishing you many more years of happy blogging.
i’d use this food processor to make homemade hummus!
Congrats Karen on a very successful first two years. What a great milestone. And this is a fabulous giveaway. I’d use this food processor to make pastes and bastes to marinade meat – we just got a new BBQ and it’s coming into that time of year where we’re eating outdoors xx
I never had a juicer before. I’d use it to make carrot juice, apple, and whatever vegetables in my fridge 😀
The juice attachment is what I am really excited about!
I’d have to use the juicer attachment first and make some bomb fruit infused spirits 🙂

Ginger is an incredible food which can help soothe gastrointestinal upset. Include it in your juices to add a bit of zip as well as a healing touch. It is a great anti-inflammatory agent which can aid in healing the esophageal reaction to acid reflux, or stomach ulcers and upset.
Made a mistake and entered my e-mail for a Magimix giveaway that had already ended. Please remove me and my e-mail address from any list. Thank you.
loved the details and specially the pictures. will try this for sure
